Fair Split - Privacy Policy
Fair Split is an offline bill-splitting app for Android. This policy explains what happens to the information you enter in it. In short: the app does not collect, send or share any personal data.
Information we collect
None. Fair Split has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. The app does not have permission to use the internet and makes no network connections, so nothing you enter can reach us or anyone else through the app.
Information stored on your device
The names, items, prices, rates, charges, saved splits and settings you enter are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. This data is used only to show and calculate your splits. You can delete it at any time with Settings > Reset everything, and it is removed automatically when you uninstall the app. Device backups of app data are turned off for Fair Split.
Sharing a summary
The Share button opens your phone's standard share menu with a plain-text summary of a split. Nothing is sent unless you pick an app and send it yourself; what happens next is governed by the app you choose. We never receive a copy.
Permissions
- Vibration - for short haptic taps on buttons. You can turn it off in Settings.
The app requests no other permissions.
Third-party services
Fair Split contains no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, tracking or payments.
Children
Fair Split is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects no data, any change will not affect information already on your device.
